MADISON COUNTY REQUESTS PROPOSALS FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE & SNOW/ICE REMOVAL Madison County Board of Supervisors are seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for lawn mowing, lawn maintenance, weed control and fertilizer application, and snow removal for county properties in Winterset, Iowa for the term from 1 JAN 2024 to 31 OCT 2026. The Board of Supervisors will accept SEALED PROPOSALS starting Tues.

November 28, 2023, through Wed. December 6, 2023. Proposals must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. by December 6, 2023. The proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with “RFP 2023-02, Madison County Property Lawn Mowing, Snow and Ice Removal and Grounds Maintenance Services” and delivered to: Attention: Michele Brant, Board Clerk 112 N John Wayne Drive P.O. Box 152 Winterset, IA 50273. A copy of RFP 2023-02 packet may be obtained by contacting mbrant@madisoncounty.iowa.gov; or at the Auditors Office, 112 N John Wayne Drive, Winterset; or from the Madison County Website, https://madisoncounty.iowa.gov. There will be a pre-proposal meeting on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 9:00 AM at 112 N John Wayne Drive, First Floor Maintenance Dept. for questions and clarifications. The sealed proposals shall be opened and publicly read during the Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting on Tuesday, December 12, 2023

Under general supervisionperforms and assists with duties including, but not limited to: assisting elderly clients in their homes, laundry, meal preparation, personal cares and light housekeeping.

Requirements:

Possess a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License, and pre-employment drug testing, must have knowledge of construction practices, various equipment and tools needed for bridge construction. Heavy equipment and physical construction experience preferred.
